We Built It Because We Couldn't Find It

In 2005, we embarked on a mission born out of necessity. Fueled by the desire for flexibility and freedom in an increasingly fast-paced world, we established Private Box. At the core of our journey was a simple belief: the power to live and do business should be unbound by geographical constraints.

We couldn’t find a service that fully understood this need, so we decided to build it ourselves.

Our aim? To empower not just ourselves but also you, our valued clients.

Fast forward over 15 years, and Private Box proudly stands as New Zealand’s premier mail forwarding company. Our roots are firmly planted in the heart of Wellington, New Zealand’s capital city. Today, we serve six major cities nationwide – Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch, and Queenstown.

Our commitment to excellence is unwavering, underpinned by the recognition of our legal responsibilities. Private Box is a Registered Company (1656061) under the Companies Act (NZ) and has fully implemented the Privacy Act 2020. We’re a registered Postal Operator under the Postal Act (NZ) and a reporting entity under the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009. These regulatory foundations form the bedrock of our reliable and secure services.

Our journey began with just two dedicated individuals, and it has been an incredible ride. Today, our team has grown to eight, and we’re privileged to serve over 3000 individuals and more than 1700 entities, a testament to our clients’ trust in us to handle their mail efficiently and securely.
